Mill Creek Interceptor Rehabilitation, Phase 2 (MCIR-2)
The Mill Creek Interceptor is located in the communities of Bedford Heights, Cleveland, Cuyahoga Heights, Garfield Heights, Maple Heights, North Randall, Orange, Solon, and Warrensville Heights. It serves these communities and also portions of the communities of Beachwood and Highland Hills.

The Mill Creek Interceptor is a system of combined and sanitary sewers that range in age from approximately 15 to 75 years. Ownership responsibility for the Mill Creek Interceptor was transferred from Cuyahoga County to the District in 1998. Contract MCIR-2 is the latest in a series of projects undertaken by the District to evaluate the condition of the Mill Creek Interceptor and to rehabilitate deteriorated areas and segments. All 94,600 lineal feet of the Mill Creek Interceptor will be video or physically surveyed under this contract to identify the areas or segments in need of cleaning or repair. The scope of rehabilitation is expected to include cleaning (sediment, calcification and root removal), spot repair, sewer lining, installation of new manholes, and repair of manholes and regulator chambers.
