Contract BR-3 provides for the following improvements around various second stage settling tanks at the Southerly WWTP:
- Stripping and recoating of the traveling bridges (one bridge per tank),
- Replacement of all submerged carbon steel bridge members with type 316 stainless steel members, and
- Polyurea lining of all pre-cast concrete launders, return sludge troughs and support columns.
Other miscellaneous tasks under this contract include the replacement of the traveling bridge drive systems and limited concrete repairs.
