What is a CSO?
Clean water is everyone's business!

Every person in the United States uses about 80 gallons of water every day for washing, cleaning, and drinking. And once you've used it, that water has to be cleaned (and believe me, it can get plenty dirty).

Thanks to organizations like the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District, that water is cleaned and returned to the environment safely. But few people take time to consider the work it takes to make clean water possible. That's why we encourage you to talk to your children about water quality, especially the amazing water resources the Cleveland area has in its own backyard: the Cuyahoga River and Lake Erie!

FOR EDUCATORS:

I hope you'll check out these pages with your students. Share the activities that will teach them about clean water and the work of the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District. We have additional resources and speakers available: Just send me an email for more information.
