How Cleveland Water's new billing system affects Sewer District customers
Posted September 22, 2009
Water and sewer charges will be combined into a single bill
Cleveland | September 22, 2009 - Beginning September 28, Cleveland Division of Water and Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District customers accustomed to receiving separate bills from each agency will begin receiving a single bill for both water and sewer service.
This combined bill will change the way some Sewer District customers are charged for services. The biggest change is that most customers will receive a single bill which displays both agencies' charges, and combined-bill customers will be able to pay for all billed services with a single payment. In addition, it will be possible to make payments online at http://www.ClevelandWater.com.
The new bill will be 8.5 by 14 inches and will include much more information than in the past, such as a detailed rate breakdown and a past-usage comparison graph. Some customers will receive the new bill as early as this month. However, some
customers may not receive a new bill until as late as November because
bills are issued quarterly.
The new design and a list of frequently-asked questions is available on the Sewer District's Customer Service homepage.
Sewer District customers in Berea, Cleveland Heights, and North Royalton customers will continue to receive a separate bill for sewer service because of the billing agreements between NEORSD and each city.
