Internship programs

All interns fall into a one of three possible categories: Student Assistant Intern, B-STEM Intern, or Paraprofessional Intern. NEORSD interns will be encouraged and held accountable for applying knowledge and skills learned via coursework to their intern duties, and consequently B-STEM and Paraprofessional Interns must acquire (or be working towards) educational degrees that are relevant to the position. Additionally, recent graduates (within 24 months) are encouraged to apply to either B-STEM or Paraprofessional internships.

Managers who supervise interns will play a crucial role in making this internship a success. Specifically, by outlining the interns’ job tasks and projects prior to assignment as well as evaluating performance and offering feedback to interns regularly, managers can vastly enhance the learning experience and optimize intern value.

Ultimately, our goal is to align the talents of interns with the workforce needs of the organization, creating a rich talent pipeline into skilled positions.

For any questions regarding the internship program and applying, please contact MacKenzie Hawes hawesm@neorsd.org in Human Resources.
