Cleveland STEP

Cleveland Water and Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District, in partnership to provide experiences and educational outreach to help students envision themselves in a STEM career field. Since 1994, Cleveland STEP (Student Technical Enrichment Program) has been giving students in 6th through 9th grade the opportunity to visit premier institutions, interact with professionals in the field, meet new friends, and work together performing exciting experiments that make science, technology, engineering, and math come alive.

The Cleveland STEP experience encourages students to build toward a career in STEM by connecting them to educational institutions, businesses, and industry and community leaders.

Cleveland STEP classes explore the world of science, technology, engineering, and math through hands-on activities and experiments developed and led by STEM professionals. Our free, fun, safe and age-appropriate activities are vetted by STEM professionals. The program is held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. one Saturday of each month September through April.

Students entering the 6th through 9th grades at any school in the Cleveland Water/NEORSD service area are eligible for participation. Due to limited registration, we encourage students to apply early. For more information, contact our partner Cleveland Water Education and Outreach office at 216.664.3173 or visit the official STEP homepage hosted by Cleveland Water.
