Former Trustee Louis Bacci dies at 78
Cuyahoga Heights Mayor was involved from the beginning

Mayor Louis Bacci, a leading advocate for the regionalization of the city's sewer system and an original member of the Sewer District's Board of Trustees, died October 3 at the age of 78 after battling pancreatic and liver cancer.

The Mayor of Cuyahoga Heights, where the District operates its Southerly wastewater treatment plant and its Environmental & Maintenance Services Center, led a group of suburban mayors in the early 1970s who were integral in the 1972 formation of the Regional Sewer District.

Bacci served as a member of the District's Board of Trustees from 1972 until 1984.
